Hell Of A View From My New Home

It’s been a while since I last put a blog out there, and that’s for one good reason. In life, it’s always good to move on or start something new. It’s been a couple of months, but I am now a proud homeowner. It has taught me a lot, some relating to epilepsy.

Work. When you buy your first house there will always be work to do. Learn to manage it, deal with it, and do it while you are living there. From flooring to ceiling tiles, the work never stops just like our epilepsy. Manage doctor's appointments, and deal with medications, it’s all part of having epilepsy. Work, work, work!

It’s A Journey. Being in your first home is always a journey. It’s not just the mortgage payments, but the little things that come with it. It’s your house now and you want it to look and feel like home. Epilepsy is one long journey that never ends. From seizures to side effects, we go through a lot. Whether it’s owning a home or battling epilepsy, you will foresee challenges.

Positive Energy. Now, my house may be different, but I like everyone’s attitude to be positive. Positivity isn’t a cure, but a better mindset to deal with whatever challenges head your way. In my house, negativity isn’t an option. Just like how I deal with my epilepsy; positivity always comes first.

It’s been a goal of mine to get this house, and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead despite my epilepsy. What’s your goal? How can you achieve it?
